Bellafina consistently strives to make instruments that encourage the beginning bassist to enjoy learning and playing. That is our first priority.
Starting with a select spruce top and maple sides, we then add an all-ebony fingerboard, tailpiece, endpin and pegs. In the US, we hand carve an adjustable maple bridge with wheels for easy height adjustment, then string it with D’Addario Helicore Strings. The core design makes for strings that are very easy to play under the left hand.
We finish off the instrument with a well-aged French Brazilwood octagonal bow with silver grip and ebony frog. The 15mm padded case includes a bow pocket and backpack straps for easy carrying.
The result is an outstanding, affordable, entry-level instrument, setup in the US, with all of the features today’s Music Educator requires.
